Earlier this year, Acebi Wealth engaged with partners working towards the British Standards Institution’s (BSI) new green finance standard: the Overarching Principles Standard. Launched to direct capital towards high-quality projects that deliver tangible environmental and economic benefits, these standards underpin a variety of schemes and markets that prevent erosion of capital due to biodiversity loss, climate risk and related environmental issues.

This initiative is the first standard for collective nature markets of its kind in the UK, and one of the first in the world. Acebi Wealth see adherence to this new standard a necessity to maintain sustainable wealth growth and lasting environmental changes. Especially after the Green Finance Institute found that nature-related risks could lead to a 6% reduction to GDP in the years ahead.
